Gordon, Christine "Tina" F.

Christine “Tina” F. Gordon, age 69, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Tina was born Christine Fritze on March 9th, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Pastor Julius and Marion (Becker) Fritze. She was a 1966 graduate of Lake Highlands High School and attended Texan Lutheran University. She is survived by her two sons, Aaron (m. Ashley Gordon) and Eric Gordon (fiancé Mallorie Boyce); three granddaughters, Addison, Avery, and Zoey Gordon; two brothers, Tim Fritze, Gregg Sprinkel; sister Sharon Madlena; and all her Fritze cousins, Kathy, Carol, Skip, Marilyn, David and Mark.  She is predeceased by her brother Reed Sprinkel and cousin Cheryl Fritze.  After twenty years of successful work in office administration, she was hired by Central Control of the Caruth Family, where she retired after 25 years of loyal service. In her private life, Tina was passionate about the game of soccer.  As a soccer mom, referee, referee assignor, tournament director, volunteer and club board member, Tina provided a massive presence in the Dallas soccer community. Beyond soccer, Tina loved helping her family, playing with her granddaughters, and going to the beach. She was tough, supportive, selfless, fiercely independent, beautiful and loving. To her friends, she was “Tina,” to her grandkids she was “GG,” to her sons and daughters-in-law she was “MOM.”  Family, friends, and all others whose lives were touched by Tina are invited to Zion Lutheran Church, 6121 E. Lovers Lane, Dallas, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on December 30, 2017, where we will hold a memorial service in her honor to celebrate her life.

Tina and I grew up across the street from each other and attended HS together. She was such a nice friend and neighbor. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Tina was my friend for over 30 years. Her devotion to her family was unsurpassed. Her unerring sense of right and wrong, coupled with an equally strong pragmatic streak set the bar for all who knew her. Tina was also a heck of a lot of fun. Her smile and laughter was meant to be shared.

As hard as it is to realize she is gone, I know she lived life on her terms and transitioned the same way. She was never one to waste her time battling a lost cause.

Like many who were a part of her life, I would not be where I am without her guidance, council, and loving support. I am going to miss her so very much. Hope you got to share Stollen for Christmas.
